Things will be changing over the next few months, at the moment I don't know how, I just know it will happen. However I'm ok with that, it's allowing me to make plans, to think about the future and make decisions.
I love planning, case in point, we did a yarn swap at my knitting group (we all bring our unwanted yarn and swap it) someone bought along 7 balls of Cascade 220 in Rainbow colours. She bought it when she started knitting, and now had no idea what to do with it, it's now come home with me, and I'm having a great time thinking about what sort of blanket to make with it. Right now I'm thinking crochet and adding white in to the mixture.... Any suggestions?
Adding white into the mix sounds like a good plan. As cascade is a worsted weight you can probably afford to go for something quite "holey" and it would still feel warm. How about hexagons joined with white like the moonstiches blanket? http://moonstitches.typepad.com/photos/block_meet/#tp
ReplyDeleteI'd actually edge it with black, to give a stained window effect.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's exactly the kind of yarn that I want/need for my Double Vision cushion/blanket!

I've been seeking some rainbow brilliance. *envy*
Oooh I have that pattern, but I think this a bit heavy for it, and I don't have enough of it....
