Winter woolies to match the winter wonderland

It's still very snowy here. The snow that fell last week hasn't melted as we've had below freezing temperatures all week, more snow is also falling. As long as I don't try and park outside my house at the top of the hill then I'm ok. Part of me quite likes all this snow, though I have just ordered some wool tights so I can wear skirts as I'm sick of getting my trousers soggy in the slush/snow. They should arrive just in time for it all to melt!

My new jumper however is finished just in time. Wool really is wonderfully warm, I'm sat here in my newly finished owl sweater and I'm really cozy!

(Click for biggness), eventually the snow will melt and I'll have to think of something else to write about!

Winter Wonderland

The snow was shall we say badly timed. Nothing when I left for work at 7am, started snowing at 8am, by the start of school it was clear the forecast was correct. We finally ended up with 6 inches (easily) before we were allowed home from work. Some schools in the area didn't even open, others closed almost immediately. WE were the last to stay open....

However the snow is very pretty, the main roads are open, and I will still be able to get to my knitting group tonight!
